McCown was brought only as a fall back plan and some veteran influence on the young QB's. Once Pennington became available this was no longer needed, so I've never really understood the whole trade Beck BS. I'm not saying he should stay or he'll be great or anything like that, I've just never understood the debate. Except the one thought that it was another chance for people that absolutely hate Beck to post the same crap over and over again.
This FO has shown that if they can get value for players that can or need to be replaced they pull the trigger. It seems pretty obvious the plan from the beginning was to have one vet and two young guys for the season and the only change is because of one teams stupidity our plan imprved 10 fold over the original idea.
Thank you NYJ, I'm becoming a big fan of your FO's decision making process. Maybe next year you can send us a starting CB...Revis maybe!

I think Parcells and Ireland will do what’s best for the team, and in the process what’s best for Beck, and that means he gets traded sooner than later --- and we pick up a low-level prospect for 3rd string QB.

If Beck hangs around --- I’m not sure that’s in anyone’s best interests at this point.
