What happened with Washington?I thought we were going to offer Kelly Washington a contract? Did he sign with another team? I would like to have him on the roster .

i assume your talking about kelly washington (probally should add that to the title of your thread), but i think we are waiting to see what happens with stallworth tommorw and then Kevin Curtis...Other wise i heard he was in Tennesse today or yesterday...
But if stallworth leaves without a contract expect us to sign him...tommorw or friday...

Yah, I believe we are waiting until after our visit tomorrow with Donte. It depends on that I think. I have a good feeling that mueller will be able to persuade donte to be a part of this offense though. He will be our next signing I believe, and hope.

Yah if Porter was telling the truth on being instantly won over by the impressive interview by Mueller and Cam then we definitely have a shot. Especially since Mueller is the one who gave Donte his first shot in the nfl. If we play our cards right, I think he will sign with us. I believe that the Randy release was to make room for more than just Porter.

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that Kevin Curtis met with the Giants Wednesday, but without an agent present.
He's already made his choice for his next agent, but has to wait 5 business days to use him. Shefter reports that Curtis left big dollars on the table, but his desire to play on the West Coast precipitated his agent change. Detroit and Minnesota are believed to be the favorites for him. I haven't really seen Washington to give an impression, other than his dance, so I can't say my opinion on him.
As for Stallworth, I wouldn't mind seeing him in Miami but he's an injury waiting to happen. |

i think he was talking about kelly washington...who has a ton of talent but is barried behind the talented recievers of the cinninatti bengals... I dont know about stallworth though...he is going to be asking for a ton of money and he is in the substance abuse program...if we sign him to an incentive based backload contract, with very minimal garenteed money (which would be cap friendly if we did end up having to cut him) I would be ok with it...I just think he is going to be asking way way way way too much money... The last thing that im back and forth on about stallworth is the whole Patriots thing...On one hand if we sign him he wont be a Patriot (which would be a good thing). But on the other hand i think that will cause the Patriots to push hard for Moss (if he returns/gets close to what he was during the minnesota days we are in trouble).

I wouldnt be surprised if MIA offers Stalworth a competitive offer.
I remember Mueller stating in January that Stalworth was going to be a player he was interested in. If we signed Martin, Porter, Stalworth, one of those cheap safeties, and Hicks...we're ready for the draft. |
