I would watch you all contradict your self when there is someone chucking it deep every play and ur still not winning and u say its something else. That was a horrid game by everyone but heck, pennington chucked a few deep lol.. "he cant throw past 15 yards" well he did.

He cant make nfl throws but been in the nfl for years... and leads it in completion %. Ok, is there anything else you want us to know that has no substance?
that stat dont mean anything there chief. all chicken arm can do is throw it short so of course he is gonna have a great comp %. u guys kill me when u try 2 drop knowlege cause u just make yourselfs look even crazier.
if i throw the ball deep 8 plays and connect on 4 than my completion ration is gonna be a 50% but lets say im a chicken arm chad and i throw the ball 20 times short and i connect on 13 my competions % is gonna go through the roof.SO DO U UNDERSTAND IT NOW. PENNINGTON IS TERRIBLE. THAT EXPLANATION FOR IT NOT BEING CHADS FAULT WAS TERRIBLE AND ITS TERRIBLE THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE DEFENDING THE LITTLE GIRL ARM. THIS GUY IS HURTING EVERY 1 ON OUR OFFENSE. THE RUNNING BACKS THE WR ARE ALL HURTING CAUSE OF CHAD

I guess he's never been healthy because he's had only one winning season in 7 years, that included 83 fumbles, 89 INT's, & 249 sacks. That's not elite.

Culpepper's like a 7-Up commercial, never had it, never will.

Was Culpepper ever Mobile? Culpepper sacked 249 times in 7 years; Marino was sacked 270 times in 17 years. You do the math.

P.S. If he's so good why is he still unemployed???

Arm strength is irrelevent when he doesnt have time to throw the ball.

Our O-line looks like **** because they can't block 9 rushers.

Our running game sucks because there are no holes, due to 8-9 man fronts.

If a QB can't take a 3 step drop without having pressure on him, how is he supposed ot throw it over 20 yards?

Even if he went shotgun, with 2 seconds to throw the ball, our fastest receiver (untouched on a fly route) would only be 20 yards downfield.

We need to go WCO. Run more screens and keep Defenses honest. THEN, if Penny aint getting it done down field, we can complain about his arm. Till then, we could have a ****ing howitzer attached to his arm and it wouldnt mean ****.

DC has a great arm, how did that work out for us?

Pennington's throws are so slow that it gives the secondary a chance to break on it and since he rarely throws pass 15 yards it makes this offensive very easy to cover especially if you got a smart secondary that can fill the gaps with the amount of time that Pennington gives them between release and receiver. Its like not backing up for Barry Bonds, you know hes going to launch the the dam ball so back up. Pennington is batting 0-2 with a pitchers batting average LOL bring it in folks this guy aint hitting crap.

Pennington had five 1000 yard rushers during his career in New York. clearly it's possible for a team to run with Pennington under center

Bottom line:
Miami has an average o-line right now and with that you need a passing threat to get that extra defender out of the box. Miami has the brutal formula of no threat at wr/te and an average push up front for the run. Get used to these opposing defences cause that's all we're going to see as fans until someone (inside or outside the org) steps up and makes some consistent plays at wideout.

PS, Chad's arm looked fine passing it to Coles and burning Miami consistently as I remember it.

funny how people are blaming Pennington for our lack of running game. And over estimating Hennes performaces in garbage time against a prevent defense. Start Henne in that game and you get the same results.

Teams have not respected our offense in any respect, not becasue of our Qbs alone. But because our talent overall isnt very good. If you can't pass, you can't run. and when you can't run, you can't pass. There is MORE than enough blame to do around on this team. To pack it all on Pennington is rediculous. Once again.. NO QB will succeed behind that line.

Actually Coles never did much to us, it was Chrebet that usually kicked our ***. Coles shined in Washington with the deep ball getting tossed to him.

It's impossible to think that Chads lack of armstrength is to blame. Our illustrious, all knowing OC, his royal highness Henning tells us that Chad's arm is comparable to DAn Fouts.

Opponents have had 8 and 9 men in the box for 4 years and the Dolphins have not been able to come up with an answer.

With no receivers on this team that scares any defensive coordinator or secondary. Pennington's lack of arm strength is part to blame, but he has no one outside to throw to who are open. When Henne was moving the ball it was against a prevent defense as well. So until the Dolphins get at least one receiver who puts fear in the opposing team it doesnt matter who is playing in the backfield. And we do not have Adrian Peterson in our backfield either.
We can start by utilizing Ted Ginn and getting the TE's more involved

Yeah, the Jets made out about the same with Favre as they did with Pennington when they play New England. In fact the last time the Pennington led Jets played the BRADY led Pats NE won by 10 in Foxboro and that Jets team was not nearly as good as this years version. With the great Brett Favre the Matt Cassel led Pats beat the Jets in New York by 9. SOOOOO Congratulations Jets, ditching Pennington and grabbing Favre has moved you one point closer to New England, Oh and that's without Tom Brady.

So far I'd say the Jets haven't gained squat by ditching Pennington. So lets not just aimlessly whine, "OH, that's why his old team dumped him", until we know how things work out for his old team.

I've posted enough facts to rip the "zomg pennys arm is the reason we losee"

no, and you all run away from my FACTS and the few who reply get eaten up by their very very wrong opinions.

lol... this board sure makes me laugh.

Um, doesnt coles have like 10 tds vs us in the past few years? most of anybody vs one team? heh

and another post had something about penningtons slow throws? uhm... hes a precision accurate qb, he throws the ball b4 the break... way b4 the break and the secondary doesnt have a chance.. easily offsetting anything else. There is alot more to being a qb than "throwing darts down field" anyway

REBUILDING anyone grasp that word?

I beg to differ. L Coles hurt Miami constantly. Go back and look at his stats per game. Point is, Penne's arm was as good/bad then than it is now.
