Chat Room Woes (see how you can join the chat here)

You will need to have a client if you are dying to get into the chat room, i prefer mIRC (www.mirc.com)

Once you download the program, do the following....when you launch mIRC it will pop up a box to connect...CLOSE that box...there should be a white blank box thats behind it...in the query line, type /server genesis.gamesnet.net:6667

Once that (hopefully) works, a box will pop up.... type in the channel box #finheavenandco

and you are there....

Server - genesis.gamesnet.net
Port - 6667
Channel - #finheavenandco

If you havent noticed, we've had problems with chat this week...

said server is not accessable - so then i sign into their server and tried to join#finheavenandco and it put me in a blank page - i typed a few lines but i didnt get any responses

if u are getting blankness, i dont know what to tell ya....keep trying though.... #finheavenandco ....

one u launch mirc u need to get to the white screen that comes up, it looks like a chat room sorta, at the bottom of that white page put in the "/server genesis.gamesnet.net:6667" then hit enter.....it will connect then will bring up a channel option screen....type in "#finheavenandco" and there ya go....

Good Idea TerryTate, for to tell people about this. But listen to this you should try out Hydrairc. All you have to do is simply go to Hydrairc.com and download the exe. The reason being is it is free irc client and the interface looks a lot nicer. Mirc cost unless you steal it.

there is a free version of mirc that i use, it just gives you a register yes/no message when you first start it up.

i did download the hydrairc (havent had much time to check it out) but what i do like is that you can connect to multiple servers at the same time. my irc room is on the gamesurge network while yours is on the gamesnet network. mirc you cant connect to two at once but can with hydra.

i got connected but have the same problem as yomamma and am the only one in the room.

any ideas?
