Merged: Phin Dollars and VBookie?

Our latest upgrade is the addition of two new features:

Phin Dollars and vBookie

Phin Dollars

Phin Dollars are virtual currency that you earn by being an active member of the board. Dollars are gained to the largest degree by posting long and well thought out posts.

Posts in the Ladies Lounge will not add to your Phin Dollars.

vBookie

vBookie is the only place at this time where you can spend your Phin Dollars and is a feature that allows you to wager virtual dollars on events that will be posted in the vBookie forum

For the time being, only staff can add threads to that forum but everyone is allowed to post discussions about the events.

How are Dollars Awarded?

Here's how it breaks down:

Registering: 10
Paid membership: 100
Birthday: 100
Referrals: 50
Points per post count: 0.01 per character
Adding public profile pic: 100 (150 points deducted if they remove it)
New Arcade championship: 1000 (25 points cost to play a game)
Start thread: 1
Reply: 0.5

Effects of Spamming

If a member starts a thread or reply that, in the opinion of the staff was aimed at increasing your virtual dollars, that post or reply will be sent to Spam forum. All posts moved to spam will receive exactly the opposite of the reward of a good post. For example, if the post would have earned 10 dollars, once it is moved to spam, -$10 will be deducted from the poster's total.

if you get $100 for a paid membership, how come i have less than $100 when i have a paid membership?

i would have suspected that it started as of now, and wasn't retroactive... except i am already seeing people with several thousand phin dollars...

We set everyone's $ amount to zero yesterday then the site crashed. Give me a second to give the VIP'ers their cash bonus

A referral is when you tell someone about Finheaven and they put your name down on the registration form as having referred them.
