how in the world do the redskins stay with the cap? We're trying yo get rid of our good players and they keep swallowing em up like the Yanks.

Players I'm looking at for 08 draft: Adarius Bowman, DR Cromartie, Martin Rucker, Bruce Davis, Shannon Tevaga, Tracy Porter, Brian Brohm, Matt Ryan, Chris Long, John Carlson, Chauncey Washington (ex-HS teammate)
Interesting fact: Bill Parcells was the 1st NFL coach to have Gatorade dumped on him after a W in 1985.

Every year they get good players or let's say expensive players. But every year the get rid of expensive players also. Last year they lost Trotter and Bailey. Trotter was a big sign the year before. This years it sounds like they will lose Coles. So basically they are in a constant state of transition. I find it funny bacause they went to a lot of trouble to get some of these players to fill some holes then they close another but open a new one. Think about it. Since Snyder took over in 1999 they have had Sander, Green, Springs, Smoot And Bailey in the backfield(Not bad). Trotter, Arrington, and Armstead in the same LB corps. Gardner, Coles and Taylor in the WR Core. Davis and Portis as runningbacks.

Basically how it got down was something like this:

1999 They finally get their rb and qb with Turner.

2000 Snyder comes in, get's george starts building up the Defense. In the Defensive backfield he get's Sanders (old but still). In the Dline he gets Bruce (Old but still made contributions). And gets arrington in the draft for the LB corps.

2001 Snyder gets rid of turner, gets rid of johnson get's rid of all of the receivers except for Westbroook. Now a a team that had a good offense suddenly has a good defense. But no QB, no WR's and no Coach.

In comes Marty, Drafts Gardner, Drats Smooth now they really have a good Defensive backfield. They still lack a second threath and rokie receivers are not that good, they have get rid of george who sucked anyway so now they have no QB. They still manage a 8-8 record after loosing thir first 5 so Marty showed a lot of improvement and the team has a lot of talent it only needs another WR and a QB. This is where snyder really ****s up.

2002 Out comes Marty in comes Spurrier. Simply beacuse Spurrier will sell more tickets (Marty no coaches San Diego and in his second year they won the division). Snyder inheret's a team with a good defense and a need for a QB and a WR. In comes Ramsey.

2003 Now it's Spurrier's to to **** up. Snyder goes and has a blast in FA. He get's Trotter, Armstead and Coles. So no we have a team that should have no flaws (On Paper). But in the spirit of the redskins they get rid of Davis who was by far their best offensive player since 1999. So out goes davis and in comes Candidate.

2004: Out comes Spurrier, Out Goes Candidate, Out goes Trotter and Armstead (And the LB corps they built just the year before), Out Goes Bailey. In comes Portis, in comes Brunnel, incomes Springs (Was he that much better than Bailey?) in comes Gibbs. Poor Gibbs. Now the team could use a DB and some Defensive players. But they didn't exactly get some better offensive players.

2005: Apparently out will come Coles, out will come Gardner (there goes the WR cops they spent some time building) And out will come Smoot (There goes the DB corps they spent some years building).

Now from a team that at one moment looked very good on paper (2000 season). They have a team of journeyman player, ex-stars, with no chemistry and full of holes and with no posibility of developing chemistry or growing for that matter. With 4 coaches since 2000-2005. Actually 5 if you count the interim coach they had in 2000.

Snyder kinda plays madden with his team and while not effective he keeps it exciting for fans. I mean he always gets big names so people have get excited. A lot of fans here would love it I beleive cause every year they seem to want the biggest free-agents and the hottest coach at the expense of anything. A lot of fans complain they their management is not aggresive enough. Well there you have an aggresive owner right there. In five year's he's had.

4 Probowl DB's.
2 Probowl QBs.
2 Probowl RB's
2 Probowl WR's
3 Probowl LBs
1 Probowl DE's
4 Coaches (not counting the DC in 2000)

0 Winning Seasons.

That's my analisys of the Redskins. It's a shame too because they looked so awsome comming from that 1999 draft. And they finished that 1999 what was it 10-6? Won their division. And went to the Playoffs. In 2000 they had the 2nd and 3rd overall picks in the draft. This was a team that had been 10-6 and had this picks it seemed like a dram come true. And they had money to spend cause the overpaid for Deion and Bruce. What Happened?

That's Snyder for you guys.
