Good for him, and as for the Patriots, they will be just fine. They took care of this in last season's draft with Laurence Maroney.

I loved Corey at Washington, he was a beast for the Huskies. I also liked him for the Bengals but as soon as he went to the evil empire, I could no longer root for him. Good for Corey, he had a fine career.

Wow, a bit surprised considering how close New England was this year again to another Super Bowl. You'd think with all of those losing seasons in Cincinatti that he would want to keep going as long as he could. At least he got his ring. Definitely earned it that year with over 1600 yards at the age of 30.

I met Corey when he played for the Bengels, my high school football team went to Bengels' training camp, really cool guy. I'm liking the new fad of elite RBs going out on their own terms.

Except for when your 1800 yard rusher/ team MVP leaves to go smoke mary jane in the mountains in the prime of his career.
