Dallas Cowboys safety Keith Davis, 27, was recovering at Baylor Medical Center Dallas Sunday after he was shot twice while driving along Interstate 635 at about 5 a.m. Sunday.

Police said Mr. Davis was driving westbound on the highway near the North Dallas Tollway when a dark-colored vehicle with tinted windows pulled alongside his Chevrolet Impala and someone shot at him several times.

Dallas police are investigating motive and suspects.

Police said Mr. Davis is in stable condition and that his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

If you look at the ESPN article on him, it lists his tackle total for 2005 at 50. Appropriate, given this guy's track record as a magnet for bullets.
