Domonique Foxworth to be Traded

Quote:
The Broncos have told CB Domonique Foxworth to leave team headquarters because he will be traded shortly.

Rookie Jack Williams flashed serious playmaking ability in the preseason and Karl Paymah is ready to take over as Denver's nickel back. Foxworth could bring back a fourth- to fifth-round pick in compensation. Potential suitors include Cleveland, Baltimore, New England, Houston, and Seattle.
U think the dolphins would be Intrested

I dunno. Miami isn't on the list of potential suitors but we may be a sleeper. All we can do is wait and see on this one.

No, and here is why. Unless the front office is full of it (possible, though dont see why they would wait to address something they are seemingly content with), they are pleased with the secondary.

You never know, but I think all of the DBs they have passed on should tell us something about what they think of the guys currently in camp.

I think the motto right now is trade for picks, not give them up for anymore players.

Though I did just think of an interesting proposal. Jason Allen for Dominique Foxworth. Both players can play both safety and corner, the difference being Jason seems better fit for safety while Dom seems better fit for (and has played predominantly at) corner. We have more of a need for a corner, and Denver has a major hole at safety.

All the while, both teams keep a versatile player who can play both spots in a pinch.

It's a good thing they hired Parcells/Ireland, cause the little flash Jason Allen showed last year is more than ANYTHING Dominique Foxworth has shown in his CAREER. Plus we already let Keith Davis and Courtney Bryan go. We would be stuck with 3 safeties.. Chris Crocker, Renaldo Hill, Yeremiah Bell. 2 of the 3 are injury-prone and one is more of a special-teams contributer than anything.. we'd be stuck in the same position as last year.

(Bringing in aging vets with barely anything in the tank)

Donovin Darius and Lance Shulters know what im talking about.

Dominique Foxworth has started for one of the better secondaries in the league since his rookie year. We're still waiting for Jason's light to turn on. We thought it may have happened, then he gets passed on the depth chart by Chris Crocker.

So, please. Dont put Jason up on this pedestal. He has done diddly squat.

The only reason Dominique Foxworth started was cause Darrent Williams got shot in the neck. Foxworth has done jack, J.Allen has more upside. It shows how good he is, he started due to a death, got replaced by Dre Bly, then got kicked out of the team facility. Atleast Jason Allen is still on the team.

That last part is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You make it sound like he got kicked out for disciplinary reasons. He is going to be traded.

He's only 24. Bring him in and play him in the nickel until he improves a little. I'm pretty sure the Broncos are getting rid of him because Jack Williams is looking so good for them, not because Foxworth is terrible. You have to remember, they have Dre Bly back there too, so that DB corps is pretty crowded right now.
