Fitzy To Be An Eagle???

A source tells the Trenton Times that the Eagles and Cardinals had talks about a trade that would send Larry Fitzgerald to Philadelphia.
The source called Arizona's asking price "absurd." The Eagles should consider courting D.J. Hackett. Having played for Mike Holmgren, he'd have a good grasp of the offense Andy Reid runs and could add size and downfield ability.

Of course the asking price would be absurd, Fitzgerald is one of the best receivers in the league. No one is going to get him for cheap.

That's not absurd for arguably the best receiver in the NFL.^

Well, get him a consistent quarterback and the guy will produce crazy numbers. He's already had two seasons in which he has racked up about 1,400 yards.

He isn't Chris Chambers, Chambers is very inconsistent. People use the QB arguement with Chambers all the time, but hell, last year, the Cardinals juggled around Leinart and Warner, and Larry still produced. Then Leinart went down, then Warner with the elbow, and he still produced.

If he's not the best receiver in the league, then he's second to Moss. But he's amazing, no doubt.

I think if you are going to consider anyone the best receiver in the league, it would have to be Torry Holt. Holt is the model of consistency but then again that is just my opinion.
