Garrard available soon?

Every time I see this guy I say "why can't we try to get him?"-He'd be perfect for this offense-Frerotte as backup-maybe the Lemon as #3? Any info on Garrard's availability next year would be appreciated

Wow everytime some of you people see a new backup QB in some other game this board gets filled with this stupid crap. Can we please stop looking into other teams' trash? We need to draft and mold our own QB.

I'm sure we'll start seeing threads about Ryan Fitzpatrick or whatever his name is now.

I dont know why a young backup is assumed to be 'someone elses trash'. Thats one of the phrases that gets tossed around with no real thought but into it. Im not saying go get Garrard but theres been a lot of quality Qbs that have started out backups. Id have hated to get a young Tom Brady if Bledsoe hadnt gotten hurt. Hasselback was a backup also. Trent Green. Brunell. Theres more examples but whats the point of thinking when you post, why not toss a silly phrase like 'someone else's trash' or similar.

Because we've had the worse luck at getting backup QB's.

Garrard has a strong arm, and is a powerful runner. In the times that i have seen him he has looked pretty decent, but i dont know if he's a long term solution. With the weapons he has in J-Ville he could do very well, but making the transition from there to here would be a big gamble. We'll see what happens though.
