I think it would have been a slap in the face of Zach Thomas to pay Lavar the kind of money he wanted....yes, Lavar has had some Pro Bowl years, but he is getting up there in age and has been injured. We are better off without him.

I wanted him, but we did make him a real good offer and Im glad we didnt budge from that because anything more was just too much

Old body....there are young guys with old bodies due to injuries. There also are older guys who have young bodies because they have not had a lot of wear and tear. Ricky Williams still has a young body, while a guy like Terrell Davis of the Broncos broke down early.

Saban stuck to his guns....that's one of the things i love about him. Nevertheless I would have loved to have Lavar on this team.
