This is the best news for the NFL since the story broke that he might be involved. It's about time the NFL says enough is enough what Vick did was wrong. Dog fighting is illegal and just disgusting. For the people who say that they were his dogs and he has a right to do what he wants with them are disgusting also. You don't kill your children for for losing a football game do you? It's a shame that it took this long for the NFL to do something about it.

I don't doubt that he did it. I'm just playing devil's advocate and saying that he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. I'm personally glad this happened.

probably, but they were telling him he should take a leave of absense (ie, they want nothing to do with him, and want him as far away as possible)

Rumor has it that Harrington has been impressing. I think they stick with him.

That's what I'm wondering. How can they ban him when there is no idea whether he did anything or not? Is the mere insinuation that someone did something wrong enough to have someone banned from playing?

Yeah but hasn't that been the recurring theme throughout his entire NFL career? He looks good in camp, but is much less impressive on game day.

Not much the NFLPA can do, and if I were them, I would not want to get involved especially with the FBI being on Vick's ***. They didn't want to get much involved with Tank Johnson, they will be less involved with Vick.

This is a major MAJOR case. If I were them, I leave it to Goodell.

Also, Vick requested a leave of absence from the team for an undetermined length of time just recently.

Guilty or not, the situation demands that he puts distance between himself and the team. This whole ordeal would only be a huge distraction that the team would have to suffer through.

Goodell had to do something. Pacman was suspended without conviction. If Vick would not be suspended after being indicted by the feds, Pacman has a legitamate case against the NFL. It was going to happen sooner or later.

They can suspend anyone w/o conviction bc the NFL is a private organization. The reason it took a little longer is bc Vick is one of the most popular players in the nfl. They wanted him to take the time off himself, when he didn't, Goodell stepped in.
