I think it's a little late for that prediction considering he had 1700 rushing yards and 2180 yards from scrimmage last year.

If anyone in the NFL deserved to get paid and get extended it was frank. Im glad we locked him up for the next 5 years. 5 yr/ 28 mil is actually a lot lower than what I thought he would get. I think he deserves a bit more but whatever gets him to stay in a niner uni is fine by me. Its a relief to not have to worry about him being swept from under our noses next year in next year's FA.

Doesn't seem like the agent did the greatest job considering what he did last year. A 1500+ yard RB deserves more than that.

I agree, I think hes worth far more than what they just gave him. But I think the niners were tentative to give him such a lucrative offer because of his history of injuries. They didnt want to be stuck with a lot of dead money if he were ever to down again.

quite the opposite actually, hes had to overcome serious knee and shoulder injuries and hes only played 2 seasons in the NFL. and he got 14 million in GUARANTEES. not to mention his agent is rosenhaus and im sure you know he is the premier agent of the nfl.

Drew did an outstanding job w/ this contract . . . in fact, I'm blown away by it. I am a big UM fan, so I have dealt with the frustrations of Frank Gore. Imagine having Clinton Portis at your stating Tailback, and backing him up is a guy (Frank Gore), who was averaging 10 yards a carry as a Freshman. Consistent injuries (I think he had 2 medical redshirts), Miami was not able to rely on this kid at all, he finally was half way healthy is final year at the U, but still not in the shape of his freshman year. He has busted his butt in San Fran and is now being considered one of the premier Running backs in the league.

I'm just suprised that w/ the history of his injuries he got so much guaranteed, but I'm happy for him, if he stays healthy, I guarantee u he will earn every penny.

Having watched this kid all throughout high school, college and now the pros...it's good to see him succeeding after all the physical crap he's been through.
