Hall of Fame Class

WR Micheal Irvin
RB THurman Thomas
OL Bruce Matthews
DB Roger Wehrli
TE Charlie Sanders
G Gene Hickerson

I can't believe they can keep leaving off Art Monk and Derrick Thomas while they still elt some of these people in.

I can't believe Irvin got in before Monk. I love Michael, he is a Hurricane and a great player, but (In commercial form where the words come on the screen and you wait for the next ones)

Before There was Jerry Rice....

There was one man

Who shattered records and made plays

That mans name....

Art Monk.

Dicky Dent got snubbed again. It really peeves me off when guys like Snortin' Mike get in over class act guys like Dent who really deserve to be there. Snort was a great player, but he smeared the NFL's image since leaving the game.

Reed 4th in receptions all-time, 6th all-time in yards.

He definately deserves to go.

I kinda agree.

It's that logic that is also keeping Monk out the 'He benefited from the players around him' arguement. Jerry Rice had some great QB's and teams around him, neither the system a guy played in or the guys he player with should take ANYTHING away from a guys greatness.

Reed not making it was a bit of a shock. Thurman Thomas deserves to get in, but out of the two, I think Reed deserves it more.

Im not sure why they keep snubbing Kooch but its getting absurd at this point. He and Monk not making it every year just amazes me.

Derrick Thomas will get in I think his problem this year was that Reggie White (another dead guy with a ton of sacks) got in last year. They probably don't want back-to-back emotional moments like that. Put some time inbetween them.

He's in the top 10 of all major receiving statistics, and is arguably the best run-after-catch WR in history.

You know the famous Steelers Hall of Fame WR duo Lynn Swann and John Stallworth? Reed has more catches than both of them combined.

To be fair they played in a pretty run heavy era. That said I dont think the HOF is only about stats, it's also the impact you made on the field. Reed and Monk should be in.
