Hall of fame receiver?

I was just looking around and decided for some reason to look at some players stats, I remeber seeing Sterling Sharpe play a long time ago, and I remember him being great. I checked out his stats and they are pretty impressive, only '91 was an offseason but yet still good, every receiver seems to have one season like that, whether it's a nagging injury or whatever, and also his rookie season, most rookies don't break 1,000 though. I was wondering if anyone thinks Sharpe could have possibly been a hall of fame receiver had his season not been cut short to seven seasons, because of his neck/spine injury. http://web.ask.com/redir?u=http%3A%2...nip&Complete=1 He is only 1,600 something yards from T.O's overall numbers, and thats from T.O's numbers now with two more seasons on his career. Sharpe's lowest season was 1,150 yards, so even two of those would surpass TO's for the same amount of seasons. The guy also scored tons of Tds, if he doesn't get as many yards one year he ends up stacking up on Tds instead. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1290 Randy Moss is the best in the NFL now, but in the early to mid 90's it was Rice that was no.1 but Sharpe was no.2 in most of the stats, and behind him, the great Cris Carter, Michael Irvin, and maybe Andre Rison. Michael Irvin will be enshrined into the hall of fame this year, he is a great Wr, but I think Sharpe was even better though. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1214
For 12 seasons, Michael Irvin tied the Td's that Sharpe had in 7 seasons. I was just wondering what anyone else thought. I'm not a fan of the packers or anything, I'm all Dolphins fan, so I'm not being biased or anything. I know longevity is a key factor for hall fame players, too. I think he could of been a hall of famer, but he may never be enshrined because of his career being shortened.

I don't think he belongs in the HOF. Very good player, but just not for long enough.

BTW/ please don't ever bring up the name Andre Rison ever again in the same sentence as Irvin, Carter, and Sharpe. Rison is a punk POS.

Yeah, well I know Rison isn't great, I was just stating that one year, I think Rison was in the top category.

I think Sharpe would have made the Hall of Fame if he had stayed healthy. He was in the top 2 or 3 at his position for just about all of his career, those injuries were just too serious. He didnt play long enough to get in but if he had another 4 or so years he would have been a lock to get in. Him and Terrel Davis are 2 guys that would have made it if not for injuries, shame.
