Hurricane Ike and the Houston/Baltimore game

Zero chance that game is played on Sunday. And with Ike's landfall expected near the worst possible point for the Houston metro area, I doubt the league will be able to stage the game on Monday night. (Airports may not have re-opened, not to mention that Reliant Stadium may have difficulty getting enough stadium workers and security.)

Right now, Houston's bye week is October 26 and Baltimore's bye week is November 9. I predict that both of those byes will be shifted to this Sunday. Cincinnati is currently scheduled to have its bye week on October 26. It is also scheduled to play at Houston on November 9. By rescheduling Cincinnati/Houston for October 26, the Baltimore/Houston game can be rescheduled for November 9, when Cincinnati can take its bye.

The league should not attempt to stage that game this weekend when there is a relatively easy schedule adjustment available.
