i kno this is off topic but what happens when on a feild goal if the ball hits the goal post and bounces in? Do you still get three points

LOL, yes as long as it goes through the uprights before hitting the ground you get the 3.

What are you talking about? You ask a question then everyone says it counts then you say out of the blue it doesnt count.

Correct, and if you can get it to bounce off both uprights and still go through it counts as a TD (seven points) :cooldude:

how about this, let's say on a long field goal attempt the defense has a man deep incase he's short, the ball bounces off the post, and the defender catches it... is it still in play? can he run w/the ball?

nope...it would be like picking the ball up after it goes out of bounds.

but if the field goal attempt never hits the post or goes out of bounds, it can be caught and returned right? what i meant was it hits the field goal post and the defender catches the ball w/out it hitting the ground, or going out of bounds... i guess i should've been more specific.
