I'm so sick of the LionsThe Lions QB John Kitna and WR Mike Furrey and the rest of the team is calling 10-12 wins. Yea that won't happen with their D or the offensive line. I understand that they had a high draft pick ( like always ) and they think that this is their year but they can't go and demand things they know they can't do. I don't see why Kitna is talking trash he was the most sacked QB in the league. I really don't understand why Furrey is talking either he had like two good games and one of them was on the Rams secondary. So i don't get the Lions they don't deserve to talk after that terrible season. I think they deserve to talk when they begin to win over 5 games. Plus do they really think they can improve that much they have barley even brought anyone to help them out exept for Calvin Johnson and Tatum Bell, but does that matter their O line and D is a bunch of trash. Their D is already bad enough saying they lost Dre Bly now they don't even have a defensive leader and I don't even know who their cordinater is but who cares. They don't have a great coach anyway they stack up on WR and forget the line. Not to mention Martz doesn't even run the ball so whats the point of bringing in Bell.
The Lions don't have great special teams either they have one good player and thats Eddie Drumond but whos heard his na,e in the last 2 years. And lets not get started on their coaching staff please. John Kitna and Furrey don't deserve to talk at all. Because the way their team has played it sure doesn't look like their gonna win 10-12 games. This is my predicton of the lions record. 5-11 to 6-10. And I wouldn't suprised if they get under 5 games.

I don't think the Lions will live up to their own expectations either but I also don't agree with a lot of your post. They improved their oline. They received OT George Foster from Denver in that trade for Bly. They also signed Edwin Mulitalo in free agency while only losing Ross Verba when they released him. Their defensive line improved by signing Dewayne White to go along with Rogers and Redding. They also drafted DE Alama-Francis in the 2nd round.
Mike Furrey had a great season last year! 98 receptions and over 1,000 yards. It wasn't only against bad teams either. He had at least 9 receptions and 100 yards against New England, Chicago, Dallas, and the Jets. The reasons I don't think they've improved to a 10 win teams is because of glaring weaknesses at LB and in their secondary. Losing Bly and Holt will be a lot to overcome. That oline should be more repectable now but nothing special. I also think Kitna is overrated and prone to too many mistakes.

Unless Barry Sanders comes back ten years younger than he is now they have no chance at winning 7 let alone 10 games.

Let them think that. You always want a positive attitude heading into a new season. If they seriously think this will happen, they will sure be suprised at the end of the year.

I hate Mike Furrey as we gave him a chance a few years ago but he quit during training camp but teams can get good overnight in this league especially in a div as bad as the NFC North so I wouldn't be shocked to see Det win 8-9 games.
