Is anyone tired of Michael Irving's interviews ??

This may or may not be the right place to post this, but it does have to do with the media...??

Is anyone else tired of Michael Irving's player interviews ?? Doesn't this guy ALWAYS take the side of the player in EVERY situation ?? I'm not even arguing whether or not Pacman should be disciplined or whatever, I'm just tired of his condescending player slant on every situation...

He'd even try to make OJ look innocent...

Sorry, I just had to rant. I was sick to my stomach listening to him stroke Pacman's back the whole interview....

And just to add, about Jones...it doesn't appear to me that he gets it yet, but that's for another thread....

Thanks for listening to me...I feel better !

I agree with you except I think you mean Deon Sanders, not Michael Irving. Sanders makes it sound as if Pacman should have no responsibility for his actions. He is asking us (implicitly) to forgive PAcman because he had a rough childhood. I'm a pretty sympathetic person, and am very aware of the social forces at play, but enough is enough. The man has apparently been arrested five times in the last two years. You'd think a professional athlete would be too busy training, practicing and playing to have time to get in that many situations .

I can't stand listening to Michael Irving. He can't speak worth a dang and has no business being a broadcaster.

I agree.

That said, Deion was actually really good when they had he and Marshall Faulk had to sub for Dick Vermeil in that one game on NFL Network. I was very surprised. Maybe he could do that instead of being in the studio.

I disagree. Sanders is one of the best self-promoters in the entertainment industry. He is, however, talentless as a studio analyst and broadcaster. He is just one of many former athletes who somehow land these jobs but are completely unqualified to do so.

Never heard the interview although I do know what you're talking about as far as him being an a$$-kisser. Does he ever do that with any white players?

My opinion on Deon changed BIG TIME. I used to dislike him, but after watching him with Rich and Mooch on NFL Network "Gameday" I realized that he is entertaining, and most importantly knows his stuff. And, to top it off, he takes the side of the right party. He'll tell you and players indirectly that they screwed up, cant do that in this league, etc. Deon is the perfect compliment to Rich and Mooch, and that is my favourite NFL show period.

Irvin, I cant stand, never could, especially when he was with Dallas! The guy makes racist remarks, but gets away with it. Not his fault, thats this society, but still, the fact that he talks like a jack-azz is enough for me, and I pay him little attention, if any at all.

GLAD YOU'RE GONE IRVIN.
