Jets Robertson traded to Broncos

Looks like the Jets finally were able to get rid of Robertson. Too bad they could only get a late round conditional pick for 2009.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Broncos take everyone elses defensive lineman since they cant seem to pick their own.

Sounds like the Big Daddy Wilkinson trade. It is just so sweet to see a Jets top five pick, who the traded up for no less, is already gone.

I wish we would have gotten him at that price. Hes a good starter and would fit here as a huge Nose tackle. I would have gave up a 6th this year for him

He'll do well in Denver, he was playing out of position the last 2 years so he production declined. He was great in 2004 anchoring a top 5 D then had some injury problems in '05 before the regime and scheme change in '06. Unfortunately b/c of a kene condition it limited what we were able to get back. That Bengal deal would have been really nice.

As long as the Broncos aren't stupid, they get Robertson for nothing.

"If Robertson plays in less than 65 percent of the defensive plays in
2008, the Broncos will not have to give the Jets a 2009 draft pick.
The Jets will get up to a third-round pick in the unlikely event
Robertson is on the field for more than 65 percent of the plays."
