Jim Mora is Seattles new secondary coach.

Wow, talk about two steps back. I saw this on NFL network.

And man am I glad he didn't become our coach. He is obviously obsessed with coaching in the state of Washington.

not really, he is also the assistant head coach. Plus it sets him up eventually to take over the head coaching job of his alma mater at the University of Washington when/if Willingham leaves. Great move for Mora, and great hire for the Hawks IMO.

But I too am very glad we got Cam, didn't want Mora either as the Phins' head coach...

I didn't see anything about the assistant head coach...makes a bit more sense.

Just means next year he will be recycled into another Head Coaching position. I mean, that is what the NFL is all about, look at Art Shell, what was he doing coaching? NFL has always been known for hiring retreads, even if they were losers on previous clubs. Denny Green will be a HC next year, heck, I am waiting for Rich Kote to resurface, lol.

Its obvious that Mora wanted to go back to Washington and that his comments on that radio show were correct, and it gets under my skin a little that he still interviewed for the Fins job when he knew his heart wasn't really in it, but was just wanting money.

I guess the Washington State thing is there but really it sounds like hes gearing up to take over for Holmgren if he retires soon or to keep himself in a position to take a good college job or NFL job next year.
