Julius Peppers Rumor w/Denver

Panthers DE Julius Peppers was spotted at the Pepsi Center in Denver for Sunday night's Nuggets game.

There have been light trade rumors involving Peppers this offseason, but Panthers GM Marty Hurney has predictably denied all of them. Peppers is entering the final year of his contract, so as long as he remains unsigned long term, speculation will continue following him around.

Maybe he needs a change of scenery. His production has really dropped the last couple years.

2007: 2.5
2006: 13 sacks
2005: 10.5 sacks
2004: 11 sacks

The "couple of years" is acutally just one year.

peppers is still a beast. Offenses need to account for him on every down. Hes one of the top 5 DEs in the NFL.

Hes played 6 seasons, 28 years old, and still in his prime.

If carolina cant sign him to a new deal after next season, he will be franchised. If hes traded after that, carolina will get at least a 1st rounder, probubly a 1st and 3rd, if not more.
