Keyshawn Johnson - Tight End

Keyshawn Johnson would make a great tight end for the dolphins. Somewhat like a Shanon Sharpe type of player. At this stage of his career, it becomes a great option for him.

Thoughts.....

Come on man......

This is absurd.
Keyshawn couldn't block and End or a rushing LB if his life depended on it.
We could line up any one of our WR's as a Pass catching TE in a formation if we wanted to and get the same result. He'd be a WR playing TE and you'd use that in minimal circumstances.

Receivers are not taught to pass or run block as part of the o line like most TE. That was Mcmike biggest problem not a reliable blocker. Besides that why would a guy who had 70 catches change positions.

Who is going to block? TE is more than just a passing option...

ok first off he has no size...he wieghs a buck and a quarter! He's not going to block linemen or LB's rushing the qb. Do you really want someone like that possibly protecting Trent Green or Pep...or whoever we get back there? And then there's the option of only putting him in as a "catching TE". Wouldn't work as soon as he was on the field D's would lock him down. TE's are usually bigger guys because they primarily take alot of abuse and are used largely for blocking, KJ has none of those skills what so ever, at this point in his career he is a 3rd wr, maybe #2 on some teams. But he is not headed here, hopefully. We already have enough mediocre recievers, we dont need another one.
