The Eagles just put the tag on TE L.J. Smith.
I don't know what the Eagles situation is,but L.J. ?

Can anyone tell me what they are thinking? This is funny IMO.

Really? A franchise tag on a TE who is injury prone and, thus far, a huge disappointment. It is clear the Eagle want to keep him because nobody would give up two first rounders for this guy. Hard to believe they didn't have someone else to place the tag on.

Hmm that is pretty head-scratching if I am a Philly fan for sure. The guy has been unable to stay away from the injury bug as of lately and im not sold that teams were hording money away just to throw it at him. I guess they had no one better to slap it on...I still say that the dolphins future TE will be landed in this draft.

Eagle fans must be pissed right now...they have been killing him all year and labeled TE as THE top priority to upgrade. So what does their FO do....offer to pay the old TE top-5 TE money. I'm really surprised.
