Lavar Arrington tidbit

The growing sentiment that LaVar Arrington is being used incorrectly could become a public outcry that the Giants signed the wrong player -- one whose talent might not fit their defensive scheme.

LaVarr is always being used wrong. I mean its not that hes really not that good, I mean the answer can't possibly be that simple right? This nonsense that he isnt used properly seems to be his excuse. Tackle someone, hit someone, make a play, footballs not that hard. LaVarr doesnt work hard enough and doesnt do what coaches want him to do. Im so glad we didnt sign this fraud.

Youve never heard of a player not fitting a scheme apparently? Lavar is a great player, not sure which guy you have been watching all these years.

Zach isnt a blitzing LB, when he does Blitz he gets bounced around, he doesnt fit that scheme, see how that works?

First off realize he is an outside LB and they NEVER get as many tackles as a MLB

99 tackles his second year

92 tackles 11 sacks his second

88 tackles 6 sacks the next

The last 3 have been plagued by injury, to no fault of his own

he hasnt done ANYTHING this season. Usually you can atleast see where a great player is on the field, but not Arrington. Its like hes never on the field.

I have watched the giants games and hes only on the field when they are in their base 4-3 defense. when they go nickle he is benched for another LB who has better coverage skills.

how can a player that is SO great and be one of the best offseason signings sit on the bench for most of the game? and the little amount of actual playing time he gets he doesnt do anything.

hes best used to blitz and run free after the ball carrier. washington didnt want him to do that, and i dont think the giants do either. they want him to cover his gap, fill his hole, and thats not what he does best. Hes one of those players that you build a defense around, not the kind of guy you can just stick in there to cover a gap.

Yea i know, i havent heard much about him this year. But i would think that the Giants would want him on the field as much as possible. maybe he is not as good as we thought he was.

Last year he didnt play due to the coaches decision, not injury. LaVar is a dud. I dont care what he did 4 years ago, hes totally irrelevant on the Giants defense and was on the Skins defense even when healthy. Im so glad we didnt waste the money the Giants did. Lavarr is always complaining that he is used wrong.
Question. If Lavarr doesnt fit the scheme then why did the Giants pay him a ton of money to come there? That makes no sense whatsoever.
