S.Rogers to Cleveland for Bodden and a 3rd?I can't believe the Browns would do this. Bodden is becoming one of the leagues best cb's. IMO, he has way more value than Rogers.

ROGERS TO BROWNS A DONE DEAL According to Hondo Carpenter of SpartanNation.com, who as we understand it is very well plugged in as to the goings on in Motown, the Lions have finalized a trade of defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to the Browns. In return, the Lions reportedly will get cornerback Leigh Bodden and a third-round draft choice. Carpenter says that the league office rejected a trade that would have sent Rogers to the Bengals for a third-round and a fifth-round pick. Rogers is gone....and what about Cleveland? I think they made a bigger splash today than the Fins. |

Yeah, I read that his contract states that he won't recieve any money until April. Makes me think the Browns did that on purpose so they can still shop him. Still, if this trade does happen I think the Browns are crazy. Bodden and a 3rd?? Insane!

true but here is a story...that would restore some picks for the browns. MORE ON ANDERSON We need to clarify our earlier post on Derek Anderson. With a signing bonus in the neighborhood of $6 million or $8 million and an initial payment due in April, the Browns can trade him without owing any money to Anderson. To be clear, they'd still take the cap hit. But, hey, at a time when teams are crying about how much money they now have to spend on players, chewing up some cap money without spending a dime might not be a bad thing. With all that said, it's our understanding from talking to multiple sources that Anderson won't be traded. |

This belongs in the General Football Forum.
Any way, let the Browns do what the Browns do. Lions needed some huge gaps to fill like us as well.

Sounds like the league robbed the bengals, not Detriot
