You could have said the same thing about a guy named Welker a couple of years ago.

Although I would agree that a WR getting released from a relatively weak receiving core sends up a red flag, we should still bring him in to kick the tires. We picked Welker off the scrap heap too!

I watched him here in Chicago for a couple of seasons. Alot of potential but injuries slowed him, and I just don't think he really has what it takes. If Wilford can barely stay on the team then I don't think Bradley has a shot to make it. But honestly, if they can run the ball like that every week (which is what we originally expected from them) then I think the receivers we have will develop nicely.

Welker was much better than Camirillo is. I dont know why everyone wants to make Camirillo the next Welker when he is a poor imitation. Seriously go back and watch old film of Welker here in Miami. Camirillo is lucky to be on an NFL team. It seems like every castoff could be Welker when in reality they wont be.

Its not about the name with me, I just dont think he is very good or should be starting for any team in the NFL. Although I might could say that about any receiver on our roster at this point. You like him thats fine. If thats the talent level of starting wide receiver u want more power to u

Two comments here. First, Camarillo has done NOTHING but make plays. And you're going to rip on the guy and say he is lucky to be on an NFL roster? Please. Just because he isnt a big name and doesnt get the guys at ESPN excited, you cant give the guy his props? Please. He has done the job. And for the record, a team like NE would snatch him up in a second if he ever hit the market (I dont foresee that happening, the staff seems real fond of him). Its what they do. Nobody wanted Gaffney either, and they made him into a player.
Second, what impact do you REALLY think a new WR will have, coming in during the fourth week of the season? Seriously. He wont get practice reps. He likely wouldnt be active on gameday. You cant just walk in and play. Even some of the guys that have been here throughout TC, throwing with Chad every day, are still getting on the same page with the QB. Any WR added at this point would be inactive, so to think he would even have a CHANCE at starting is laughable. This isnt Madden. |

Well, the thing is - Camarillo has played pretty damn well. Well enough to beat out more experienced guys for time like Wilford, Hagan and Ginn. He had some nice grabs in the last game and kept the chains moving. Not to mention the damn MVP of last year, based on one play! The guy may not be the most physically gifted of all the receivers in the NFL, but he does well with what he has. And he's improving. Guys who get cut in the middle of the season are generally not guys who are improving.
Also, I guarantee if we were to cut Camarillo - he's on somebody's squad that afternoon. |

This was the thread I was waiting for. Ginn showed progress Sunday, still he has alot of progress to make. I have to go out of my way and say that Camarillo has been awesome so far, the same goes for Bess. Bess and Camarillo are always moving the chains and catch everything their way.
I would much rather bring a guy like Roydell Williams or Chad Jackson and Brandon London has lots of upside. So, i think we are good at WR not great. I want to see Bess and Camarillo develope and Im hoping Ginn turns in to the WR he is suppose to be, but Im against bringing a WR in especially when guys like Camarillo, Bess and Fasano are playing their ***** off out there.

1) CAMARILLO has played very well. He's got good size, great hands, plays smart, blocks and is sort of "sneaky fast".
2) Salvation rarely comes off of the waiver wire, especially at this time of the season. That being said, does anyone know anything about this guy? How big is he? How fast? Does he have good hands? Does he run patterns well? Does he block downfield? Does he play smart? And how hard a worker is he? Anyone know? |
