What are the odds that the next CBA has a rookie salary structure? I often wonder why (or if) the player's association, made up mostly of veteran players, would fight a rookie salary structure and free up the big contracts for the proven players.
That's probably the reason the owners voted today to opt out of the CBA for 2011, which means owners stage a lockout after the 2010 season.

I'm happy with Jake's contract.
Isnt Jake Long the highest paid OL ever?

Its just the position. QB's get paid more.

Hopefully they fix this rookie contract problem. The Bills were hit bad when OT Mike Williams turned bust.

Good Luck to the Falcons, I still don't think this guy is that good. I hope for Atlanta's sake I eat my words.

Peyton signed a 100 million contract in 04 and already restructured it a few times so expect to see it extended.
Tom brady is making less than ryan now.He had a 60 million contract with 4.5 million less then ryan.

I would pay Beck this kind of money over Ryan 101/100 times.
