I'll repeat what I said when Cincy signed him. They did it because Daniel Coats, a TE last year, struggled transitioning to FB. Now that he's starting to get comfortable in his new position, no need for Mauia

I agree that he is basically done for. He should have never been drafted and was a major prospect that had not excelled at any level. maybe he can get a job in dry wall.
