Merged: Justin Smith update, agree on contract with 49ersFree agent DE Justin Smith is believed to have left the San Francisco area without a contract.
He's heading to Minneapolis. Smith is thought to be in search of a deal averaging $8 million annually with $18 million worth of guaranteed money. where did miami come from in a thread earlier? someone siad he was headed to davie.

It was on NFL network according to Adam Schefter (or however you spell his name) that he was visiting the dolphins today. I think it was a mistake to be honest.
FYI under the Bengals they said that the dolphins signed McCown.

 SmithSmith, who had played all of his seven previous seasons in the NFL in Cincinnati, was given the franchise tag by the Bengals in 2007. Smith was the fourth overall pick in the 2001 draft out of Missouri. He has 43 ½ career sacks but managed only two last season. ahh well cant get them all it didnt seem as if we were making to strong of a push for him anyways i got my focus on Wilson and either Johnson or Walker and NUMBER ONE PACE COME ON DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
