http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3364138

hope this doesn't impead on us possibly getting one of they're 1st's for JT?? even tho this isn't for a 1st, they might not want to be getting rid of all theyre picks

Pacman to Dallas a done deal

Per Rotoworld:

The Titans have reportedly agreed in principle to send suspended CB Pacman Jones to the Cowboys in exchange for a 2008 fourth-round pick.

The Titans will also get a 2009 pick if Jones is reinstated and plays this season. That seems unlikely, but the Cowboys are willing to risk that on a supremely talented player. If Jones stays suspended, the Titans will send Dallas a 2009 pick. It's believed that team already has a new contract for Jones in place.

I don't see how this affects us because dallas does not have the need for JT ...

"Dallas will send its fourth-round pick in Saturday's draft to the Titans for Jones."

I can't see that being an impediment to a team if they were interested in JT. Especially as the article states they would receive compensation back from the Titans if Pacman isn't reinstated.

Dallas wants to win now. I don't think Jones cares to much about the draft picks.

So they're going to risk losing a 4th THIS YEAR? In 3 days? For a guy that Goodell should never allow back in again? Is Wanny running that team?

He just re-instated Thurman for the Bengals. Ricky was re-instated. Pacman served his time, and will probably be re-instated....

If so, the Cowboys got a TOP corner for little to nothing.... if he's not, they get thier pick back next year. Doesn't seem like too bad a deal to me.

Figured I'd speak on behalf of the Cowboys fans since it is regarding the Boys...We give up a 4th this year, but if he isn't reinstated they give us back a 4th rd pick next year, so we basically lose nothing...

He also restructured his contract, as he was supposed to get 7 million over the next 2 years on his original deal, but that was scraped and he re worked his entire deal to the league minimum, incentive based contract, with no money guaranteed.

If he plays alot of snaps for us, and ends up productive, we could end up giving up a 4th next year, but this is if he plays, and ends up playing a huge role for us...Pretty much a win/win, we aren't paying him any money, isn't tying up many picks, if Pacman wants to be a thug when he gets here and screw up his life, thats on him, but he wont take the team down with him...People might chastise Jerry but he's not stupid about his money.

*EDIT*

Also have no idea where the JT rumors are coming from, we dont even need another pass rusher, we have one too many actually, Ware, Spencer, and Ellis on the edge is more then enough...We are trying to trade a 1st for Boldin, Roy, or Chad, otherwise we are drafting Rb, CB, WR, haven't heard not one peep about Taylor and it certainly wouldn't be a 1st rd pick for him...Not sure where some of this stuff even comes from, maybe the same place that had us trading Barber.

Here is a rap sheet look at all of Pacman’s brushes with the law since joining the NFL’s Tennessee Titans:

Photo: Pacman Jones

July 13, 2005- Arrested and charged with assault and felony vandalism after a nightclub altercation. This began Pacman Jones NFL rap sheet. He already had a lengthy one from high school and college.

September 5, 2005- Adam was invited to attend the Nashville Sports Council Kickoff Luncheon. Jones went off on a verbal tirade while being told to wait for his car after the event. He then refused to tip the valet service.

October 2005- State of West Virginia filed a petition stating that Jones had not been contacting his probation officer and that he had not reported his July 2005 arrest. The judge extended the probation for just 90 days.

March 23, 2006- Charged with marijuana possession in Fayetteville, Georgia. He went on to claim that he knew how to beat the NFL’s drug test.

August 25, 2006- Arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after being ordered by the cops to leave a Murfreesboro night club several times. Jones claimed a woman stole his wallet. The woman claimed that Jones spat on her. The judge in the case gave Pacman six months probation and told him to stay away from the club.

October 26, 2006- Jones was issued a citation for misdemeanor assault after a female student from Tennessee State University claimed that Jones spit in her face at a Nashville night club.

February 19, 2007- The facts are disputed and no charges have been made yet, but Jones was in the middle of a fight and shooting at a strip club in Las Vegas that left one man paralyzed and two more wounded. The fight broke out after Jones showered strippers on stage with $81,000 dollars. The club owner claims Jones was beating a strippers head against the bar while claiming to kill one of the club’s employees.

January 3, 2008- Pacman is accused of punching Wanda S. Jackson in the face at an Atlanta strip club called the Body Tap Strip Club. Jackson says Jones reached over the counter and sucker punched her in her left eye.
Pacman better watch it in Texas, they dint mess around with criminals, their electric chair gets worked out on a regular basis.

Punched a woman in the face, beat another woman's head against a bar, spit in another womans face .....AND HE DOESN'T TIP !

Real tough guy, you notice he doesn't go around picking fights with men.

Real class act.... Why in the world would any owner want this piece of garbage on their team?
