<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/17">Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the New Orleans Saints have reached a contract agreement with free agent RB Michael Bennett (Vikings). Bennett, who will serve as the primary backup to RB Deuce McAllister, will sign a two-year contract worth $3 million. The deal also includes a $1 million signing bonus. Bennett can also earn $1 million in incentives in each year of the deal.

If he stays healthy it could be a good pickup but what happens to Stecker and Smith who were very capable backups?

On a lighter note I was perusing the NO board and noticed that our team (according to them) is the Redskins of the AFC East. :confused:

I just heard that we showed interest in him and 5 seconds later I hear this crap. Oh well, his speed would have been nice to add with Ronnie's power.
