No, it's a satirical piece. But it is probably one of the most realistic articles on Vick you can find.

Same here

His team is trying to make him what he isnt, a straight up pocket QB, well when he had controll of the offense he was able to pull out games with pure athletic ability and made it to the NFC championship game

and maybe people should stop and realize he has what is possibly the wost recieving core in the entire league

Enough with the excuses for Vick. He has one of the lowest QB ratings in the league. He could have the best receiving corps in football, and it wouldnt matter because he throws passes exclusively to Alge Crumpler.

The reason the Falcons have made the playoffs recently is because they have an excellent running game and a good defense.

Vick is extremely overhyped. A great athlete, yes. A great quarterback, no.

Wow Buffalo really does no zip about football

Please explain why it is that the season Vick was out they sucked, but immediatly when he came back they were worlds better, they had the exact same running game then

His ability to run opens up his passing game tremendously, and guess what, Crumpler is the only guy on that team that can get open, give Vick just one weapon at reciever and he would be in the playoffs year in and year out AND win superbowls in atlanta

They went 5-11 starting Kurt Kittner and Doug Johnson. That's an accomplishment. There defense wasn't as strong in 2003 and they also had a coaching change mid-season.

That's the thing -- his running doesn't open up the passing game; his numbers suck. Vick will never get to a Super Bowl b/c any team with a decent defense will do what Tampa does everytime they play Atlanta. Just stack the line to curtail Vick's running and make him beat you with his arm. Which he can't.

He is a poor man's Randall Cunningham.

They went 5-11 but Vick won one of those games vs the Panthers basically single handedly no way johnson or kittner wins that game

Its hard to beat a team with your arm when you dont have a single decent reciever on your team, Put a reciever on the Falcons and watch them go 12-4 or 13-3

Vick has a very very good arm actually he just makes some stupid decisons once in a while, and the recievers usually dont create enough seperation for him to get the ball there, with an above average reciever teams would actually have to respect the passing game, which they dont do now

Roddy White and Michael Jenkins are up-and-coming young guys.

Brian Finneran is fairly reliable.

Dez White, Jerome Pathon, and Peerless Price all had success with other teams.

These guys' numbers suck b/c of Vick, not the other way around.

roddy white and michael jenkins are up and comers, but guess what, that means they arent good yet. thanks for make my argument for me.

brian finneran is a good 3rd WR.

dez white, jerome pathon, and peerless price all suck. sorry, success in the past does not mean success in the future. they were all products of having better WR's opposite them.

your argument makes no sense. i'll agree he is overrated, but he is still one of the best QB's in the league. the only reason he is overrated is because he is the most dynamic player in the game, and if he doesnt have a highlight reel full of great plays then people say he fails. the only problem i think vick has is fumbling, but i think that is easily fixed with better coaching. that team is trying to change him and they are paying the price. they could have won more games last year if they had let vick play his style of football. that teams success relies on mike vick, bottom line end of story.

Are you serious? Look at his numbers. They don't even compare to the best QBs in the league.

What about his inability to throw for 200 yards in a game. Or the fact that he is highly inaccurate. Or that his QB rating usually is in the 60s or 70s. Or that he is awful at reading defenses. Or that he zeros in on one receiver and ignores his wideouts.

Dez White is by no means a #1 WR same for Jerome Pathon they are both #3 recievers

You should know better than anyone that price only had success in Buffalo due to Eric Moulds playing opposite him, Price is a good #2 but not a #1

Anyone who can defend that recieving core has no football knowledge at all

McNabb took the Eagles to 4 consecutive conference championship games with Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, and James Thrash. He even went to the Super Bowl without Owens in the 2004 playoffs.

Brees has played very well with Keenan McCardell and Eric Parker.

Brady has won three Super Bowls with David Patten, David Givens, Troy Brown, and Deion Branch.

Plummer played well with an ancient Rod Smith and Ashley Lelie.

Hasselbeck plays with Darrell Jackson and Joe Jurivicieus.

Trent Green puts up HUGE numbers with Sammie Parker, Eddie Kennison, and Marc Boehrigter.

None of these guys are No. 1 receivers, yet these QBs get it done. That's because they are actually good.
