Moss to GB Rodgers to Oak soon...?per rotoworld...Looks like the Raiders will take CJ!
The Boston Herald's Michael Felger reports that the Packers and Raiders are "on the verge" of announcing a trade that will send Randy Moss to the Packers. It's odd a Boston writer is breaking the story, but he's also an ESPN radio host. We heard rumblings Wednesday night it was close and profootballtalk.com pegged most of these details days go. The deal will reportedly include Aaron Rodgers, Raiders TE Courtney Anderson, and a conditional Oakland pick in 2009 based on Rodgers' production. Moss will reportedly restructure his deal to catch passes from Brett Favre. While this will help Moss' numbers, don't assume either Favre or he will be elite fantasy starters. Rodgers' presence makes it more likely, though far from certain, that Oakland will draft Calvin Johnson with the first overall pick. Donald Driver and Greg Jennings owners can't be happy.

This trade will likely cause a draft shakeup. It could cause Quinn to fall further, but still probably out of reach for Miami.

Oakland is getting away with murder if this goes through. And what the hell is Green Bay thinking? Favre will play until 2015. Book it

With the rumor of the phins and Lions swapping picks we would have our choice at QB. If the rumor should prove true.

I doubt we trade up to #2. We would have to surrender most of our draft picks and some next year to make the jump.

Wow! IF that's true, I'm really not sure what GB is thinking. Do they really think that getting Moss only will launch them into contention for the SB? Or is it just about making Favre happy ? I could see them being an above .500 team now, but any type of serious contender. They have too many holes on both Def an O (to an extent) to be serious. Plus, they now don't have anyone credible (not that Rodgers was a lock) to take over for BF after he retires. This sure gives Oak a big plus if it's conditional on Rodgers play. All the draft mocks will have to be re-done too. Although some hinted that Oak might take CJ, nobody really was buying into it when they need a QB so badly. Wonder if this makes us re-think our approach to the draft ?

Smart move by the raiders. They can replace Moss with a stud in the draft (CJ) and get about the same thing they would get in the draft at QB - an unknown talent.

GB loses out IMO. How much longer will Moss be around?

I just heard on ESPN that the Moss to Green Bay trade will not happen. The Packers are not willing to part with Qb A. Rodgers, and word is that they will wait for the Raiders to release him....
