MvpThe MVP should have been Rex Grossman for stinking up the joint. Peyton was ok but he didn't have to do much. Peyton had like 3 tds and 8 interceptions in postseason play. If Marino played like that the dolphins would have gotten killed in postseason play. At least Brady, Elway, Montana had to play unbelievable in crunch time to win postseason games when they won superbowls.

Agreed. Rex Grossman should not be in the NFL. |

Funny. I thought they should have gone to Griese in the fourth quarter, game was still within reach and Grossman was stinking the joint up.

I guess he's never been healthy because he's had only one winning season in 7 years, that included 83 fumbles, 89 INT's, & 249 sacks. That's not elite. Culpepper's like a 7-Up commercial, never had it, never will. ![]() Was Culpepper ever Mobile? Culpepper sacked 249 times in 7 years; Marino was sacked 270 times in 17 years. You do the math. P.S. If he's so good why is he still unemployed??? |

Oh come on Grossman is pretty bad but there have been way worse. AJ Feeley comes to mind. This was Grossmans first actual season of being healthy, and I dont blame him for playing poorly. He has a long way to go but he really does have some good tools to work with if he can continue to improve. At worst he is a very good backup.

it should have been dominique rhodes, but they just handed it to peyton. EDIT. he didnt have an impressive game and rhodes was the most significant reason for their win (and yes grossman's complete incompetence)
ive hated rex since he was at UF, but i didnt want manning to get his ring (im a marino homer, what can i say)

I just feel kind of bad for Dan Marino......he never won a SB and each time you see a QB win one you have to feel for Dan. I think Dan deserved at least one ring. Peyton is certainly deserving, but you see some average QB's winning a ring and it is just a shame Dan never had the team around him to get him there.
