on the air, Marshall Faulk seems a bit agitated by this, but Eisen says from what he can tell the union and the league hammered this thing out before announcing it, and that the players pressured the union into coming to terms because they are sick of the thugs tarnishing their image and the leagues..
Oh No bro, from day 1 the NFLPA supported and agreed with Goodell...Actually, the NFLPA and Goodell worked together on this whole conduct policy...Man, I love it!!!

Not at all. These guys are spending their offseason time getting into violent crimes. Pacman has some 10 incidents that article said. That is crazy! He has only been in the league a few years. That guy must be constantly looking for trouble.

Ricky has a few failures in the drug program for smoking pot. He then corrected things in 2005, and hasn't smoked pot since. In 2006, he was suspended for something other than pot. I think that still shows progress in the drug program. Whatever he was suspended for, it was an over-the -counter drug that probably wasn't even intentional.

The point is that the drug program is supposed to be designed to help players stop taking drugs. And if Ricky has done that, he should be able to play. It is really that simple. Ricky isn't out getting into trouble with the police evey year. He isn't involved in violent crimes. There's a difference.

They were made examples out of. Those guys were repeat offenders with no remorse. Joey on the other hand had 1 incident from my understanding. I don't think much will be made of JP but I have been wrong before... Lets hope JP will be left alone.

Wow. A full season is a long suspension, indeed. I'm shocked but at the same time I can't say I disagree with it. The NFL is finally addressing this issue.

Not true. He was involved in a fight in college, got a suspended sentence and probation for it, and a judge extended his probation by 90 days for a violation during his rookie season. Last year, he got six months probation for spitting in a girl's face at a bar...and then got cited for doing it again a couple of months later. When his mother's house was served with a search warrant by a drug task force, he admitted to police that he had been smoking weed and that it would be several weeks before he could pass a drug test. And for what it's worth, he is on trial next month on one felony and two misdemeanor obstruction charges.

When someone is arrested and facing charges, at a minimum he needs to stay out of trouble until the initial incident has cleared. Instead, Pacman and Henry keeps stacking them up like cordwood. Good that the league has broken them off.

Oh com'on, of course he hasn't being a celebrity and having money and connections, if it was you or me with that rap sheet we would have been in jail a long time ago.

These guys rarely do get convicted, or even see the inside of a court room. They get off routinely because of who they are. If this was some shmoe like you or me, we'd be wearing soap-on-a-rope right now.

Well...with a new commish in there trying to clean up the NFL's image... anything is possible. I think this year will be full of examples and I dont think we have seen the end of it. Teams like CIN will suffer from it. Could you imagine if all those players that messed up got punished like Jones and Henry....WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Talking about getting replacements.....not fun!

These players need to wake up. They need to realize the time of doing what ya want when ya want is over. They wont be able to go out in public much for fear of being arrested or causing something close to that. You are about to see some serious changes on how players conduct themselves.....You can bet on that.
