NFL in Los Angeles

NFL.com

LOS ANGELES -- Billionaire developer Edward P. Roski Jr. has made a commitment to build the kind of stadium an NFL team needs to thrive in Los Angeles. Now, he's hoping one will commit to play there.
Roski, a part owner of the Kings and Lakers who has spent years trying to lure the NFL back to this area, unveiled plans Thursday for a 75,000-seat facility in the City of Industry he said could be finished in time for the 2011 season.

This will be an exisiting team not an expansion team. Boo I live in LA and want expansion team. All the other teams here moved from other cities.

I saw the same story, but which team does everyone think it will be? I would say Minnesota, just a thought. Maybe even the jills, but i thought i heard something about them testing the waters in re: to them playing in toronto. Who knows

I think it would probably be the Vikings, possibly the Jaguars. The NFL has wanted a team in Los Angeles for a long time. They also want a team in Canada, so the logical choice would be for the Bills to eventually end up in Toronto.

How about Al Davis moving the Raiders back to LA again!

The teams with the most stadiums issues will be the ones, that leave there current market for LA

Why does LA deserve another team? I don't care about the size of the market. They have already failed twice.

I'd say it would be the Vikings since they're in the bottom 3 in revenue (according to 2006 numbers: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/30/...Revenue_2.html) and have the lowest current value.

Besides, when you don't have enough cash to sign a player, it makes you wonder about their financial state (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/...-to-pay-allen/)

Although I'd have to go along with Van Greco and question why LA deserves another team when they've never been able to maintain an NFL franchise in the past?

I think it will be either the Jags revenue issues and support or Vikings. But who knows it could be the Bills,Saints or Chargers. I hope its not the Saints,if it is I hope they make them leave the team name, colors and history in NO.

As for the Bills going to Canada, the CFL would have to allow it,as they have legal rights. So I dont see it happening anytime soon.

Any one see this on the stadium. Great stadium and opp. for any team wanting a new stadium.

Just wondering....
Would you like it, if a team moved to LA? Which team would you prefer that has been mentioned?
