NFL may let Bush wearwear #5.

Personally, this is b.s. He may be good, but what makes him any more important in a relevance sense than anyone else? If they do, it'll be all about the marketing and dollars.

# Signatures and Avatars
Added: February 1, 2004 - Avatars and signatures should not have any type of nudity or be too risqué, nor are they to contain violence. Basically, nothing sexually explicit or violent. However we also ask that you refrain from using bathing suit-type photos altogether for the purpose of promoting on-topic conversation. We believe this is fair as avatars and signatures are in every forum. In some forums these pictures may or may not be allowed. Thus, there should be no pictures, as stated above, in one's avatar or signature. However, images such as stated in the above may be posted in The Ladies Lounge.

Added: January 15, 2005 - You are permitted one photo per signature. Please keep the dimensions within the 400x300 pixel range and below 40k in size. Exceptions can be made if a signature is wider than 400 pixels, but much shorter than 300 pixels in height (a banner for example). Not only does this make for a sleeker, less congested forum, but it also helps visitors who are limited to 56K dialup connections. Added: January 23, 2006 – The use of quotes from other members in your signature in a derogatory or inflammatory manner is not allowed. This creates bad feelings among fellow members, and is considered a personal attack. Added:14 February 2006 - Politically oriented Sig and Avatars are not permitted. This tends to distract from discussions, much as a sexually explicit one would.

He better wear something in the 20s and 30s. I am sure they will end up not letting him because imagine him being a bust.

Then Jason Allen should get to wear #18. They shouldn't make exceptions for a player. The only other time a player got to wear a different number was when Keyshawn wore #19 as a Jet when he was drafted in 96'. He got to wear that because the Jets ran out of numbers in the 80's. They didn't make the number change for the WR's until 2004.

IMO, we should loosen up the number system. RBs in college look pretty cool wearing single numbers.

Over 30 receivers in the league have a number in the teens. They changed it in 2004 so receivers could wear numbers in the teens and the 80's.

I think the number system should stay the same. It helps identifiy the players by position just by knowing their numbers. Make Bush wear a normal number, he's nothing special....Yet....

Nowhere in the article does it indicate the NFL is going to allow this. The only suggestion of this was from Bush's agent, who has a vested interest....

I hate the teens. It looks so bad for WRs. I hate all these #11s running around.

If they pick a stupid number like 11 it's their fault. Personally, I think a 19 or 17 is rather stylish although anything else in the teens sucks for Wr's. I just think that its impractical to have all TE's and Wr's wear 80's because there are a lot of them on the roster at times.

I think RB's should be able to wear in the single digits

But Changing any rule just for Reggie Bush is BS

Negative, they changed that a few years ago thanks to Meshawn.
