The Chicago Bears have named rookie QB Kyle Orton as their new starting quarterback for the start of the 2005 season.

Congrats to Orton, he's been impressive in the preseason, lets see if that translates into success in the regular season. He could turn out to be the steal of the 2005 draft, kinda makes me wish we had given him a look.

Unless Orton plays lights out in his first season, I still think the job is Grossman's when he returns from injury. They invested waay too much in him to just keep him on the bench or cut him.

Good choice for the Bears. Chad would never win any games for them at QB. Now it will be interesting to see if Orton can do a good job against the 1st teams.

I think they made a good decision. Hutchinson isn't a good QB. Might as well see what they have in the rookie.
