I think the situation with Pacman is totally different. Honestly, I would be shocked if Porter missed any playing time because of the issue.

The commish already said he was going to be far tougher on repeat offenders. Which Porter is not. If anything he gets a fine IMO.

100% agrree. PacMan and other repeat offenders better watch out, but there's no way they hand out suspensions for a first timer or something so trivial as this. I'm not even sure that this is covered under the current CBA, if not, there's nothing they can do. And whatever mods they make won't apply to past problems. The NFL is going to go after the repeaters first to get all to clean up and be careful, I don't see them going any farther than that unless it's ineffective in creating a better image for the league (fewer arrests, etc)

Don't fool yourself.....Under the league's personal conduct policy is a wide sweeping clause called "engaging in conduct detrimental to the league". Its the league which determines conduct which is detrimental not the CBA or the nflpa.

Your kidding yourself if you think Porter won't miss time, according to the NFL Network their talking about 4 games. The Pac-man situation is only different because it's the 10th time he's been in trouble, the Comm, made it clear that all players the get into situations that make the NFL look bad will be delt with harshly. Porter will miss game time, you can be sure of that.

So your saying attacking another person in a public place and getting thrown in jail is trivial? Sorry but that's exactlly the kind of behavior the NFL is cracking down on, I doubt you'll be seeing Porter until at least game five.

I doubt you could buy a ten cent clue with a hundred dollar bill... he was charged with a misdemeanor... the same as a traffic ticket... he might be fined, but no suspension...

We'll see how that ten cent clue multiplies when they announce that Porter has been suspended for 2-4 games. Pretending it's not going to happen and tossing insults around won't change reality.

So Adam Jones gets a full season ban, and what did Leonard Little receive as punishment on behalf of the NFL for this (see link bellow)?

he wasnt even arrested, he was given a citation. he hasnt been charged with anything, and hasnt been arrested. all that is known as of right now is allegations. no one knows for sure if porter even hit levi, or if he stole jewelery. that is what ALLEGEDLY happened. we have to wait and see until his court date comes. if nothing happens then and all is thrown out, then thre is no reason why porter would be suspended. now if he does get charged with something, then yes, maybe. but that is unlikely.

It appears Joey himself is worried about a possible repercussion for his part in the fight. Now he wants to apologize to Jones.

"I don't mind calling him. If he truly believes, if he feels like I was wrong, I'm sorry," Porter said. "I can apologize. I am reaching out now."

Funny how all this remorse from Porter comes a day after Henry and Pacman get suspended. Perhaps Porter isn't as sure as some dolphin fans are that he won't be disciplined by the league.

Better safe then sorry. With that being said, keep hoping he gets suspended, because its not going to happen. If it does i expect the Players Union to appeal very hard.
