He's good but he's been hurt the last couple of seasons. Can he play NT? I thought he was more of a 4-3 type DT.

Before he went down with injuries a couple of seasons ago Kris Jenkins was hands down the best DT in all of football. He was the main reason why Carolina was almost impenetrable against the run when he played. Hes only 26 or 27, so he still has a good six years left in him if he stays healthy. I hope the niners trade a 4th for him, I would even risk a 3rd to get him.

Hes 6'4 335 and has beastly strength. If there was any 4-3 DT that can transition into a NT it would definately be him.

I'd have no problem throwing a first day pick at Kris Jenkins. There is no one in the draft from round two on who has as much potential as what Kris Jenkins could bring. Not to mention that'd take pressure off of our need to get a guy like Alan Branch, and allow us to focus on a Ted Ginn Jr. or Brady Quinn.
