I guess the dude turned down the NFL for a promising career with the "Edmonton Eskimos"!!! I had to laugh when he said "If I don't get a promising deal, I want to stay an Eskimo"...I think the dude needs to look at that comment, then look at his life, and then have a little cry over a bottle of Jim Beam, and then get back up and take a damn NFL job. Ah, CFL, gotta love it.

He has not signed, but he made it clear he didn't want to leave his team if he weren't going to get a serious chance to start. Maybe with our depth at DE he won't get that shot here. I see him as an outside LB in a 3-4 D if thats what Saban plans on running. Saban did mention we would be a 3-4 D with some 4-3 fronts to utilize the talent we have. Just like last year. I would like to know what Saban plans on doing this FA and draft. Will he only upgrade with players that fit the 3-4 best or will he upgrade with players that work in both a 3-4 and 4-3?? I wish he would just run one or the other.

He has a point though about being training camp fodder. Just ask the guy we release just about every other week.

I think word "chance" covers a wide area!! Here is what was written by SCall13 in the thread that was first reportd on finheaven about Jeanty: "Don't know much about him. Apparently he has an offer from us and Cincy. Stated he wants make sure he has a legit shot at making the roster and that there is not too many guys at that position."
Now it doesn't say "start" but he does make it clear thats his preference!! I don't know about you, but it looks like what I wrote was true!!

haha... well if you really want to break it down that way.

I just think he meant that he doesnt want to go to a team were "there is too many guys at that position"... because if there are alot, there isnt a good chance he would make the team... hence the "wants to make sure he has a legit shot at making the roster"...

I hear ya, sometimes things are vague and that leads to speculation. You and I just interpreted what was written differently.
