Rookie of the year thoughts

For defensive ROY I feel it is between Odell thurman and shawne merriman

Any thoughts?

He is a 54% passer, has more interceptions then T.D.'s and has a passer rating of 62.5 which is 29th in the league amongst starting Q.B.'s...if that is the standard for offensive rookie of the year the NFL is'nt what it used to be.

Since when did the ROTY award become the "player with mediocre stats but gets credit for leading his team to the playoffs when he really shouldn't award?" This reminds me of the situation with Roethlisberger last year and Michael Clayton. Clayton had better stats, but since Ben led his team to a 15-1 record, he got the award. The only problem is, Kyle Orton isn't half the QB Ben is.

5 of his INTs were in one game... since then he has improved..and won games.... Orton job is not to throw 40 times a game... or throw 2 TDs... its to the lead offense...

Ronnie has some nice stats.. but sharing workload with Ricky...

Caddy has played less games and has similiar numbers.. a bigger impact for his team...

i have a feeling Carnell Williams will win it. Although we all love Ronnie and Ronnie PROBABLY has played better out of the two of them, i think the media swoon for Carnell and the hype he has recieved for his play the first 3 games of the season really will win him the offensive ROY award.....but hey, i'll root for Ronnie anyway.

Thurman will get it because of his INTs and tackle numbers.

i dout Orton gets O-ROY, hes just not a good QB.
