Rumors from Huston

I just got off the phone with a good friend of mine, who happens to be a die hard football fanatic, who lives in Huston. The word out there is that the whole city is in love with Young. Everybody and their dogs want the Texans to draft Vince Young after his superman heroics in the Rose Bowl. The local kid has caused an uproar in a city full of football maniacs like my friend.
Now getting to the rumors....It has been mentioned in several sport talk shows that the reason why Linehand was interviewed was because they want to draft Young and install a vertical offense similar to what was used here. And acording to my friend he heard that the Linehand's interview went pretty well.
Another rumor is that the Texans are very interested in Ricky. He is another local (he played in Texas) hero. They want to use a 2 rb attack like what we had here. Apparently there have been preliminary talks between the Phins and the Texans they are asking for Ricky plus our first for Carr. Remember these are supposed to be preliminary talks. We know that Saban is a good negotiator (He said he would never take less than a 2 for Surtain..and he didnt) So If all these rumors are true, and the more I think about it...the more sense they are starting to make, I see Saban maybe giving them a 2rd rd plus Ricky or perhaps a 3rd rd plus Ricky for Carr.
Think about this for a minute....
1. From a marketing point of view in would be fantastic for the Texans.
2. Ricky has showned that he doenst mind sharing the backfield.
3. Ricky has stated that he likes playing out west, and is confortable there.
4. As far as value, we would never get what Ricky's true value do to his past.
5. We are in dire need of a Qb, and many believe that Carr under better coaching and a decent o-line will be a much better Qb.

any thoughts?

Ricky and a 1st I don't like, unless we get some kind of conditional pick in addition to Carr. Ricky and a 2nd I'd be happy with.

That's good news. Ricky and a 2nd for Carr would be great. Not a 1st round pick though.
