Ryan's and Quinn's TC output

After reading so many frustrating reports about our QB's training camp performance, I decided to check the Browns and Falcons boards for comparison (Ryan and Quinn being the most coveted dolfan QB picks over the last 2 drafts).

Lobbing inacurate rainbow passes has become the norm for Quinn. This looks even worse to Browns fans since apparently, Anderson has an absolute rifle for an arm. By all accounts, Quinn is nowhere near ready to start in the NFL. He was 0 for 8 at one point yesterday.

News out of Atlanta was harder to find, but on the ESPN Falcons forum, they were calling him the next Alex Smith.

I'm not saying that these QBs will not be good. I just want to keep our situation in perspective.

Yeah I've been talking to a few friends that have made it down to the Falcons practice and they aren't overly excited about what they've seen.

But again, too early to tell anything.

We have a track record of bad QB play, the media of course will focus on the negatives instead of the positives. Casse in point, about 3 days ago PFT has their training camp one-liners and i have read them all. Our feature was the only one that didnt have 1 positive thing in the write up. PFT gets their info from the Miami Media and other media outlets somehow assoiciated with the dolphins. Granted, numbers dont lie, but it is still very early in camp. It will improve. The only difference between us and the Falcons and browns is the overriding negativity our players face down here at the QB position. Armando, Im taking to you.

Sounds like Quinn is having problems

" I'm sorry, after attending Camp tonight I not only mustered up my own feelings based on the performance I saw, but I listened to what others (in Quinn Jerseys with friends in Quinn Jerseys in fact the one group had so much Quinn paraphernaliaon that it felt creepy being by them). I asked my son and his friend what they thought and my son who I know was pulling for Quinn mumbled, "Geesh, now I know why Anderson starts over him" '

Interestingly enough, from what I've read, Henne is outperforming both of those dudes.

Well considering Matt Ryan and Quinn have absolutely nothing to do with our team then who cares? We dont need to worry about them, we need to worry about our current QB's, one being a joke thus far at TC. why post things like he is no where ready to start in the NFL and silly pointless things like "he was 0 for 8 at one point" means what? Brady Quinn hasnt even been working out or taking Half the snaps with the First team. Totally different and the comparisent must be discarded.

And by the way i did go look at Quinns TC reports via browns local writers and he seems to be doing well, as for Ryan..........well he should be called the next Alex Smith. The man will do nothing more than piss off the fans of Atlanta.

Just to make observations of my own .....this is a piece from the NE patsy's TC: In one part of practice, the field was split in half. On one side, the receivers worked against the cornerbacks, while on the other side, the running backs and tight ends worked against the safeties and linebackers. The Tom Brady/Chad Jackson connection was off on successive throws.

See how easy it is to go into a blog and rip out the 1 negative thing about a player during camp and turn it into a complete disaster. Of course there are positives but when you only post 1 negative to make a point and compare our "John "duck" Beck" situation to Brady Quinn is silly.

It means that I dont have to slit my throat because one of the QBs that we passed on is tearing it up!

Calm down little fella.

Ya but you said it was to put our situation in perspective. how is that putting it into perspective? Beck is sucking... and Quinn is not. WOW THE PERSPECTIVE!
Quinn might not be "Tearing it up" but he isnt "sucking it up"

simmer down now.

According to the Browns boards, he is struggling.
Their fans talking, not my observations.

Why all the hate? The purpose of the post was to provide some perspective and a general comparison of how some previously viable QB options are faring. You're absolutely right in that it doesn't impact the performance of our team, but the performance of our front office will be determined by how their selections perform relative to players they passed on. For that reason, I am definitely interested in how Ryan pans out (since Quinn was drafted by Mueller, his performance is irrelevant, though interesting).

I've noticed as well how difficult it is to get the same info! It seems other teams either DON'T have the coverage, or the ones watching have enough sense to realize that it's just the beginning of the first Sparano camp, and our entire offense has alot of ground to cover, just to catch OUR defense.

Well its because all he did was go to a blog or where ever he got this 0-8 stuff and started off as if Quinn was having a horrible TC. I went and read threw there TC blogs much like ours and found nothing even close to what kind of TC beck is having. So the point is .....there is not point. beck and quinn are nothing alike in play or situation. With that being said Quinn is fairing better than beck . NUFF SAID.
