Does anybody know what is the record for the most tackles by an individual player in a season?

I think that Ray Lewis holds the record, but I'm not too sure.

could be but im almost positive its urlacher i belive he like shattered butkus' record of like 180or somthin like that

he might have broken the chicago bears record but not the NFL's...what I have figured out though is that it is very hard to find an accurate amount of tackles for a player, everybody has something different listed, I guess nfl.com would be the most official though.

very elusive stat to find on the internet... Keith Brooking had 212 a couple seasons back...

Yeah, it is very hard to find. The official NFL site doesn't even have the stats for tackles as NFL records.
