And you ignore what I wrote entirely. It's amazing. Did I claim he was the best back? Nope. Can I specify that any clearer. I. did. not. claim. he's. the. best.

You seem fixated on the TD's for some reason, yet that was only one of several statistics I mentioned in arguing that he is one of the top in the league (again, please, for the love of god note that I did not say he's the best. Jeebus.).

I also noted that you don't consider any of the circumstances, and you continue to prove that. You focus on the last game in which Ronnie Brown put up 27 yards on very limited carries against the best rushing defense in the league. The passing game was doing absolutely nothing to decommit the Ravens from the run. And this all coming off an injury that many thought (and a couple hoped, am I right?) would end his career. Nobody could have run well in such circomstances. Nobody.

The best approach is to consider all the information, not one stat, whether that be yards or TD's.

I'm not sure what you're going for here? Are you hoping to hear someone agree with you and believe Ronnie sucks? Good luck with that.

wow talk about twisting words, I never said Ronnie sucked. I have continually said he is a good back just not one of the best.

Also why would anyone hope that Ronnie Brown's career would be ruined although I have suspected some on this site have rooted for Caddy's to end so they would be right.

You can add up any stats you want and Ronnie is just as I claim a good runningback, greatness is still to be proven and if he has another 900 yard season then it will not go towards proving it.

Coming from someone who never exaggerates others' statements or beliefs.

As far as I'm concerned, the only things holding him back from being one of the best are playcalling and injuries. Both are really out of his control. And I was only using stats to counter your use of them.

L. White is not even the best RB on that team, much less the NFL. Hes a solid RB, but not the best.

And Lendale's 3.9 average includes an 80-yarder in garbage time against Kansas City. Take that one carry out and his average drops to 2.9.

There are some great rookie and 2nd year backs that look mighty good as well, maybe not the best but Steve Slaton and Chris Johnson look to be great backs with a ton of upside!

You can be selective on alot of players. Take away the NE game and Ronnie's stats suffer quite a bit also.

Take away all of his games and he has zero carries for zero yards for zero touchdowns, which would make him the worst RB in the league...or something.

just saying people want to be selective about other player's games but dont want to do the same for thier own choice.

Just saying that you seem to be more concerned with calling out other fans and starting entire threads on it (such as this one) than anything else, which is too bad because you are a good poster when you refrain from doing that, even though I often disagree with you.

i just refuse to give credit where credit is not due. Its downright silly to call a back that has 1 barely over a 1000 yard season the best runningback in the game. This is precisely what was being done when he had the back to back 100 yard weeks. I know posters are emotional and want certain things to happen but If people are going to say things like this then I will weigh in on these things. I continually say unpopular things but I am always honest in my assessments and more often correct than not. Im a dolphin fan through and through but im not going to high five people for comments made with no basis. People on this site need to have thicker skin when someone does not agree, believe me I get blasted all the time no matter what I say and I still keep coming and stay with my convictions.

I personally haven't seen anybody call him the best back in the league. I think you are overexaggerating, but whatever. It's your life. You can be angry and defensive all want I s'pose.

i guess you took a 2 week hiatis. One of the threads was move over LT and it very clearly called Brown the best in the league. It happened alot during that span. Disagreeing is not being negative. Ronnie is not the best back in the league, whats so negative about that.

So...one thread speaks for everybody? I could point out just as many from the opposite end of the spectrum calling him a huge bust. Doesn't mean everybody think he's a bust.

And when did I say disagreeing=being negative? Again, you are completely ignoring what I write. I said the biggest problem was your constant need to call out fellow fans by starting ridiculous threads like this. That's not simply disagreeing, that's antagonizing. It doesn't provoke debate, it provokes hostility. Often, it's nothing more than baiting and it overshadows your better posts that discuss the team and your views of it rather than the fans and your views of them.

this was a thread made in fun. I made it silly because its a silly subject because neither back is near the best in the league. I made this due to the reactinaty nature of this board. Like this week see how all the Ginn people now are in a differant tone. I am glad though that noone has gone as overboard as they were with Brown and the wildcat.

You don't throw out any stat. You can't do that to have an honest statistical study. IF that's the case, you can take out any of Ronnie's long runs. Heck, how about we throw out best games?
