Steve Smith IS the best WR in the league. Not one of the best. Im sure he's ours if we hand over John Beck. Dude, said should we "take" him. As if he is someone's change that was dropped on the ground.

but the finz, and even a lot of the fans INSIST we can get

when a player is young, or just in there prime, regulars in the
pro bowl and usually tops in numbers at there position, YOU
PAY THEM!!!!

but, again, this is why the cupboard is bare.
The fins have no talent because of years of bad drafting.

if Steve Smith Is Only Making $1.75 Million A Year I Would Jump All Over It And Then Sign Him For Triple That. (still A Bargain)

The report I saw said that these two have had several verbal altercations over the past couple seasons.

No I wasn't there cowboy82nd but if it was something on the field that made Smith want to punch out Lucas why wait until they hit the sidelines and their helmets came off?

Fights happen in camp all the time, take a quick swing, it gets broken up and it's over.

Sounds like yes, Smith did sucker punch Lucas on the sidelines after the altercation on the field.

This whole thread is funny, no indication he's available. As a matter of fact the Panthers could have suspended Smith for 4 games, they chose to suspended him for two.

Sounds like they want him back sooner not later.

He's not going anywhere, but if he IS, as one of the premier receivers in the NFL who usually is very clean in terms of off the field issues and such (though technically this was on the field), how could you not consider him as an option?

Every player that gets into some kind of trouble...someone always thinks he is available...

Steve Smith isn't going anywhere, bud. He may act like a jacka**, but they still love him here in Carolina. He's they're best player.

I mean, we wouldn't just let our best player walk, would we? Not even if he was on Dancing With the Stars, or some stupid thing like that....

Just kidding. Lol

It does not seem like his days are numbered. He has anger problems, that has been a know fact. does not mean they are looking to trade one of the best playmakers in the NFL. this thread is an EPIC FAIL. booooooooo.

I was wondering who was going to post something about Steve Smith. Yeah, he's just ripe for the taking just like Peyton Manning or LaDainian Tomlinson is ripe for the taking.

You can't just take players from other teams. He got suspended for 2 games by his team, that's it.
