Seahawks Or Steelers

Don't really care for either team but if I had to pick I guess I wouldn't mind seeing Bettis going out with a ring and Cowher certainly deserves one too after many years with the franchise. So I would have to choose the Steelers. Gotta root for the AFC (unless it's the Patriots).

it hasn't been too many years. He's a great coach, and Steelers' management had the foresight to ride out the rough times and stick with him. Very few owners would have that type of conviction

Steelers will romp by the way

I don't think they'll romp the Hawks but it'll be close.

Steelers - 27
Seahawks - 23

i think that super bowls are always tough to call... it seems like a lot of them go in being really even, and they end up blow-outs, or there is one huge favorite, and the underdog makes it close... i really dont know how to look at this game, but i think the steelers have more resolve when it comes down to it...

The Seahawks absolutely killed the Panthers last weekend. Watching that game made me realize how good of a team they really are. Their defense is incredibly hard-hitting (anyone see that hit they layed on that Panthers RB?!) and they've got some of the best offensive talent in the league.

The Steelers are good but I think a little unexperienced. The main core of guys on the Seahawks have been playing with eachother for 5 years... I think Seattle will win this one.

Thats one reason why they dominated that game so badly cause the seahawks didnt have to worry about the run (no runningback) and they were able to double and triple up on smith and in essence shut down the panthers offense

Steelers Superbowl XL Champs!

Not sure they will win, but really would like to see the boys from the Pacific NW win it. I have a few VERY arrogant Steeler fans near me at work. These guys are a couple of yellow towel waving clowns... Of course if the phish were there, and I had an aqua towel that would be different

I think the blowouts happen because when one team responds earlier than the other, the team that's down starts to panic, if that's the right word. They play a lot tighter than they would if down by 7 or 10 points in the regular season.

I think you are right about the resolve of the Steelers. They have been closer for more years, and Ben has no lack of confidence, especially the last few games.

I also would like to see Bettis go out with the ring. Funny, I used to noit like him when he was in his prime, maybe because of all the hype that went with it (although he certainly earned the praise of the media - it still just rubbed me the wrong way). But after seeing him a couple of years ago on the NFL today, just hanging out with Dan, Boomer etc., and seeing him off the field in other situations since then I have changed my mind. He really seems like a nice guy who ooozes down to earth class. His smile almost reminds me of Magic Johnson, another guy I had to warm up to over time. But he has that kind of charisma. I hope he goes into broadcasting or something like that later. So let's go Steelers!!

I would like to see the steelers take this one, but I dont have any real team to root for. It just seems that if you can connect personally with someone on the team it makes is easier to want them to win. The whole Jerome Bettis thing is a feel good story. Kind of want to see him win. He is after all one of the classiest players out there.
